Community and Labor Center's New Study Highlights Farmworkers' Health Challenges

A new landmark study by the  shows farmworkers across California are facing serious health challenges on a daily basis.

The goal of the  was to examine agricultural worker health and well-being, in addition to health care access, local and state policies, and health and training needs.

Diana Maravilla has worked at the campus since 2011, her daughter Sharee Sok joined in 2015, and her granddaughter Korynn Maravilla recently graduated from ºÚÁÏ°Ù¿Æ and is now a staff member as well, making three generations currently on ºÚÁϰٿÆ's staff.

But all good things must come to an end. Diana is set to retire in early January.

For the first time, ºÚÁÏ°Ù¿Æ made its way to Chavez Ravine for the Bobcats at Dodger Stadium alumni event on Sept. 6. Alums from several classes had the chance to catch the Los Angeles Dodgers take on the San Francisco Giants. In the end, the Boys in Blue were victorious, 6-3.

'Courage' and 'Idealism' Take Center Stage at Fall 2022 Commencement

Neither chilly temperatures nor a thick blanket of dense fog could dampen the smiles and spirits of hundreds of Bobcats as they participated in . Nearly 450 graduates took part in three separate ceremonies at the Art Kamangar Center at the Merced Theatre.

Fall 2022 Commencement to Include First Graduate Division Ceremony

Downtown Merced will be covered in a sea of blue and gold over two days as hundreds of ºÚÁÏ°Ù¿Æ Bobcats take part in fall commencement. Also, for the first time, graduate students will have their own ceremony to celebrate their achievements.

The pomp and circumstance kick off with the inaugural Graduate Division Commencement Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16.
