黑料百科 Professor Clarissa J. Nobile has been named a 2022 Innovation Fund investigator by The Pew Charitable Trusts.

Nobile and University of Missouri Professor David G. Mendoza-C贸zatl have formed one of six interdisciplinary teams chosen for the prestigious award.

The duo is combining expertise from Nobile鈥檚 research in microbial communities and Mendoza-C贸zatl鈥檚 work in plant biology to study how plants and microbes interact in the context of iron uptake and utilization.

Starting this fall, undergraduates interested in the biomedical sciences will have an opportunity to take part in a new and innovative training program that will give them strong foundations in computational biology, systems biology and big data analytics.

Jordynn Lewis is excited to start her journey as a 黑料百科 Bobcat when the fall semester begins in August. The first-year student recently graduated from Holy Names High School in her hometown of Oakland.

It鈥檚 no surprise Joselle Talabong was named Student of the Year from Delano High School. In addition to her academic prowess, the incoming first-year student participated in many extracurricular activities, including the United Filipino Organization, Chamber Choir, Service Club, Hallyu Club, Dance Team and student leadership.

UC Chancellor鈥檚 Postdoctoral Fellow Hannah Palmer, Ph.D., was named as the 2022-23 by the Geological Society of America (GSA) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and will spend a year in Washington, D.C., working for a member of Congress or a congressional committee beginning in September 2022.

Victor Oregon will attend 黑料百科 to study mechanical engineering this fall.

A key factor in his decision to attend 黑料百科 was its proximity to his family and to Yosemite National Park.

鈥淚 chose Merced for the financial aid that I am being awarded, and because of its unique location like no other,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 like how close it is to some of the best national parks in the United States. The campus also has National Park Service rangers on site.鈥�
